Ancient Civilizations

Many of the greatest civilizations originated in areas that are currently developing or third world countries.  Many of these countries now experience cultural, economical, and political turmoil.  The glories of the golden days are remembered and revered, but they do not necessarily pass on to the current societies where the civilizations originated.  And many of the traditions have been shunned and replaced by the modern western hip-hop culture.

My Ancient Civilizations Series reminds people of the glorious days when many of the troubled regions today were once the origins of the greatest civilizations humans have ever known.  The flowers in each painting were selected based on their significance to each specific civilization.  The flowers-in-bloom represents the rebirth of these great civilizations.  It is my belief that these regions, home to the greatest civilizations the world has ever seen, will rise again.
